So yes, we got a dog. He is a beagle and weve taken to calling him Dog as we couldnt agree on what his name should be. BD suggested Google, I suggested Baxter and Chupie suggested Babydog really seems like the best choice. He is like a big stinky cat. He sleeps a lot and isnt real active. We think hes still getting adjusted to his new home. He was picked up by a friend of a friend of The Sister and had spent the past few weeks in a few different places waiting to see if his owner/s would claim him. They didnt, so we did. Ive resorted to using one of the built-in templates here because my Gold membership expired and it just not worth the hassle of moving all the pictures over to Flickr and redoing it again. I need to link the Guestbook yet but if youre so inclined, you can leave a message using the notes feature. The weather is getting chilly which means I lay in bed even longer in the mornings so I dont freeze to death. Chupie and I have been crashing out on the pull out while BD and Dog have taken over the nice queen size bed. As soon as the child starts going to sleep at a normal time well rearrange our sleeping quarters yet again. And by normal I mean the opposite of someone who spends five hours at Dennys drinking coffee after their midnight shift ant where ever they might be working midnights. The child just loves having a dog around and he loves her because she gives him food. We (BD and I) do not advocate giving the animal people food but the only way to keep it from him would be to keep it from the child as well and from what I understand that aint cool. Me: Wheres the rest of your bagel? Child: Umda dog ate it? Me: Me: What is the dog eating? Child: Umtatoes? Me: Me: Whats wrong with the dog? Child: Umhe ate too mutz musard an ketsup? Me: Sunday I cut down the tree that was growing through the remnants of the shed. It actually grew through a plastic milk crate. I dont really blame it though, apparently someone thought it a bright idea to dump all manner of grass clippings, dirt and whatever in the bottom of the shed making it a lovely little compost area. There is, without a doubt, 5-6 of dirt on the cement floor. I also found pieces of three ancient vacuums, about 10 (so far, still digging) glass Pepsi bottles, several paint trays, big blocks of concrete and a fair amount of Styrofoam. If the weather warms back up this week I want to get out there and finish it. So todays agenda includes roasting a chicken, making apple bread, ironing, hand washing the delicates and perhaps scrubbing the bath tub. Enthralling, isnt it?
